CA&E interurban car #315 is having stained glass windows restored to its exterior. These windows were removed when the car was 'modernized' years ago. As part of the project, the interior stained glass windows are being cleaned of decades of authentic Illinois filth.

A volunteer uses liquid cleaner and lots and lots of elbow grease to clean 315's stained glass without damage.

Now that steelwork is complete on one corner of Johnstown 311, volunteers are working on repair of the steel uprights between the windows. This work was completed on the other side of the car last year.

A volunteer cleans up window posts on the second side of 311.

Inspection trips to the contractor continue to show considerable progress on the final bits and pieces of Johnstown 355.

Workers apply finishing touches to the rattan-upholstered seats.
